It's The Handle, Stupid
Oh, that's just great:
I received my Nerf Wii Sports Pak bat attachment back from PDP on Thursday. Today, I finally got a chance to try out the bat in Wii Sports.
WHAM! It went flying off after my first swing.
In looking closely at the handle (the part of the attachment into which you slip the Wii Remote), I discovered that there was a microscopic, but very "failure prone", crack on the tab that holds the attachments to the handle.
Looks like I'll be mailing that into the company this week - and I'll be without the whole thing for another week or two.
On to other issues:

On to other issues:
- I'm really not a big fan of the eBay feedback program. First of all, it's annoying to remember to leave feedback for a transaction. When you do have issues, and you decide not to leave a positive feedback for a seller, they go ballistic on you - even if you don't give them a negative feedback. This is another reason why I don't generally like using eBay, but it hasn't stopped me from going out and bidding on some of my favorite cartoonist's drawings. For the first time, I actually won an auction of his.
- Stop me if you've heard this one: I'm getting tired of the cold and the snow. Apparently, so is my car: in addition to issues where the power steering fluid was very low (probably due to the cold, for reasons I'm not able to comprehend because I'm not a chemist), the hood on my car doesn't latch after closing until it's warmed up. This can be a hassle when you're driving down the road after checking your washer fluid - and suddenly you see the hood vibrating.
- Both the Predators and Admirals are frustratingly flirting with being just outside of the playoff picture. Nashville, stuck in the middle of what can only be politely termed the road trip from Hell, is 3-2-0 so far in five games of a cross-country jaunt that's seen them go to Buffalo, Dallas, Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary. With their win over the Flames in OT Friday, they are now tied with the Avalanche for seventh in the West - meaning they are in the coveted Eighth And Final Playoff Spot - but they have more games played than the three other teams that are chasing that spot (the Avs, Canucks and Coyotes).
- Meanwhile, the Admirals are 3-3 over their last six, but are now in the middle of a six-game home stand - whch they started Thursday with a win over the Griffins. They have 71 points, and are tied with Houston for the crossover spot in the Western conference - but the Aeros have three fewer games played. Both teams are a point behind the Peoria Rivermen for fourth in the West, but simple math suggests one of the three can't be in the playoff picture if things don't change.
